The Sniff started because I went looking for safe dog products and couldn't find a single place I trusted. So I built it.

Hi. I'm Yvette.
Mum of two. Dog owner. Frustrated shopper.

Before my puppy, Rumi, even came home, I was on a mission to find daily essential products for her. I filled my cart, ready to check out, but then I stopped.

Everything I found felt cheap, vague, and loaded with plastic. It was the kind of stuff I’d already stopped buying for myself and my family, and I wasn't sure about giving to my little puppy every day.

So I started digging. What I discovered was shocking. In Australia, dog toys aren’t held to the clear material standards many of us assume exist. Brands aren’t required to disclose what’s in a rubber blend or what might leach out when a dog chews on it repeatedly. That didn’t sit right with me. I kept researching, reading beyond the labels, and decided to create what I wish had existed from the start. A more trustworthy place to begin. Better materials. Less unnecessary plastic. And less guesswork for dog owners who already have enough on their plates.
